Middle School Counselor

Location:

Haslett Middle School

Required Qualifications:

• Licensed master's level professional counselor degree OR a limited licensed master's level professional counselor (will work under the supervision of a licensed master's level professional counselor)
• Experience in scheduling using Skyward or a similar program
• Experience in personal and crisis counseling.
• Experience with 504 plans, attendance interventions, and alternative education pathways
• Successful previous guidance counseling experience and/or teaching experience

Responsibilities:

• Implement comprehensive guidance and counseling in middle school classrooms
• Provide group and individual guidance and counseling for individuals and small groups
• Connect families with community resources and supports
• Actively participate in the building leadership team
• Evaluate, write, and monitor 504 plans for students
• Commitment to reflective practices and professional growth

Salary Benefits:

In accordance with the HEA Master Contract
