Full‑Time Pre/Post Op RN – Red Cedar Surgery Center
Red Cedar Surgery Center is hiring a full‑time Pre/Post Op Registered Nurse (RN). Red Cedar Surgery Center is a leading, accredited, outpatient surgical facility committed to providing patients with an exceptional experience in a comfortable environment. The facility meets the highest industry standards, is certified by Medicare, licensed in the State of Michigan, and accredited by the Joint Commission. Red Cedar also participates in the Michigan Arthroplasty Registry Collaborative Quality Initiative (MARCQI).
Role OverviewThe Pre/Post Op RN provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, continually evaluating their condition to ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy. The RN may assist physicians in procedure rooms with various tasks, including conscious sedation and sterile techniques as appropriate. The RN provides comprehensive care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for discharge.
Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited RN school of nursing
- Active RN license in the state
- BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center
- 2 years of experience in PACU or critical care preferred
Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment - Ability to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
- Must be able to work evenings (past 9 p.m.) to cover longer OR days
