Intek Plastics specializes in designing, manufacturing, assembling, and delivering a wide variety of customized plastic extrusions in the Fenestration, Hydroponic, Lighting, Refrigeration, and Power Management Industries.
OverviewWe are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Entry‑Level Accounting Assistant to support our finance team with daily accounting operations. This role is ideal for someone early in their accounting career who is eager to gain hands‑on experience with Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and general accounting processes in a professional business environment.

- Assist with daily Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities
- Record and process financial transactions, including:
- Customer invoices and payments
- Vendor invoices
- Employee expense reports
- Enter, update, and maintain accurate information in the accounting ERP system
- Monitor and follow up on overdue customer accounts
- Support month‑end close activities as needed
- Assist the Estimation team with part builds in the ERP system
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and company information
- Support the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with documented procedures
- Perform other accounting or administrative duties as assigned
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus
- 1–2 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, clerical, or data entry roles preferred
Skills &
Competencies:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs. and rarely up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, twist, and carry materials
- Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of the role
