Pupil Support Assistant (PSA): HMS Tennis
Position
Purpose:
PSA will assist in maximizing the learning experience of children with special needs during their participation with Middle School Tennis
Hours:
Approximately two hours per day, Monday through Friday, and Matches if student participates Position begins 9/2/2026 and ends 10/8/2026 Responsibilities & Duties:
Assist lead staff in providing behavior reinforcement and managing student's needs while at tennis practice and matches Assist and support interpersonal skills and activities, daily living needs and social/emotional needs for student Ability to be flexible with schedules. Supervising and assisting student during arrival/departure from tennis practices and matches
Qualifications:
Must meet one of the following requirements: at least two years of qualifying college credits (usually 60 credits in Minnesota) through an accredited institution of higher education, or; an associates or higher degree, with qualifying course work, or; a passing score on a valid and reliable formal assessment. Ability to follow program direction as provided by program coordinator. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds in weight and support students with activities of daily living Ability to demonstrate prompt, regular and reliable attendance
Compensation/Benefits:
Starting Rate of Pay $19.40 per hour if non-contracted (less than 11 hours per week) Please see Paraprofessional Master Contract for Benefits information
