Application Engineer - Extrusion

• Lead extrusion projects from concept through commercialization.
• Translate customer application requirements into manufacturable, value-added plastic extrusion solutions.
• Act as the technical bridge between customers, Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing.
• Manage new extrusion projects using formal project management tools and NPI processes.
• Drive new profile development, timelines, resources, and deliverables.
• Partner with Sales to provide technical design support for new and existing customers.
• Develop CAD drawings and specifications for extrusion profiles.
• Select and apply thermoplastic materials based on application and performance needs.
• Plan and execute product testing and validation activities.
• Provide ongoing technical support throughout the product lifecycle.
• Collaborate with customer engineering, purchasing, and quality teams.
• Support ISO / QMS requirements and internal quality procedures.
• Support continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing initiatives.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical/science field.
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, plastics, or extrusion environments.
• Experience with thermoplastics strongly preferred.
• Project management experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency in CAD software and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Manufacturing plant environment supporting a 24/5 operation.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout an 8–10 hour shift.
• Up to 15% travel required.
• Expected to work an average of 45+ hours per week based on business needs.
