Overview

We’re Intek Plastics, a growing custom plastics manufacturer, and we’re looking for a proactive, people-centered Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead safety and sustainability efforts across multiple manufacturing sites in multiple states.

This is more than a compliance role—it's about influencing behavior, driving results, and creating a strong safety culture across a diverse, regional footprint.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state-specific regulations.
  • Conduct audits, risk assessments, and trainings tailored to site-specific needs.
  • Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions that make a long-term difference.
  • Collaborate closely with union and non-union teams at each facility to build trust and drive results.
  • Mentor local EHS contacts and ensure alignment with company wide safety goals.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive EHS experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years overseeing multiple sites in multiple states.
  • Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations.
  • Experience supporting both union and non-union environments.
  • Confident communicator and influencer across all levels of an organization.
  • Strong data analysis, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Passion for continuous improvement, safety culture, and doing things the right way.
  • Ability to travel 20–25% of the time.
