SUMMARY
Plans and lays out a variety of steel and stainless-steel sheet metal components and performs a wide range
of forming operations to develop the required parts to product fabrications which are considered to be standard and normal by performing the following duties.
- ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned as required.
- Reads from drawings, sketches, and instructions to determine operational requirements and makes arithmetic calculations to develop forming details.
- Lays out and marks dimensions and reference lines on material to develop and trace patterns of product or parts, or uses templates
- Sets up and operates fabricating machines such as shears, brakes, presses, forming rolls, and routers, to cut, bend, block and form, or straighten materials.
- Checks work as necessary to assure holding prescribed tolerances.
Your Profile / Qualifications

- Must have High School diploma or equivalent education.
- 10 years of experience with manual lathes and mills
- Knowledge of sheet metal operations to fabricate standard or normal company products.
- Good working knowledge of shop mathematics.
- Able to measure accurately, relate surfaces, holes, and angles.
- Able to work with moderate supervision.
- Adheres to all Company Safety Programs, Rules and Regulations, and Employee Procedural Guidelines.
The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $29 - $34 per hour. GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.
The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. You may be eligible for additional rewards, such as discretionary bonus (based on eligibility) and/or equity awards.
