Seeking a BE/BC pathologist to join the team of two full-time Pathologists for laboratory leadership and general coverage for two hospitals in central Nebraska. Responsibilities include surgical pathology, cytopathology, and clinical pathology. As a staff pathologist, collaboration with laboratory leadership and clinicians on both hospital campuses will be required. The pathologist will also have a close working relationship with the pathology faculty and departmental administrative leadership.
- Provides Clinical and Anatomical Pathology coverage as needed; provides diagnostics such as the presence and stage of diseases using laboratory techniques and patient specimens.
- Meets the obligations and responsibilities set forth in the Medical Staff bylaws of those healthcare facilities at which the Employer requires the Employee to maintain Medical Staff membership.
- Responsible for reporting any damage to or insufficiency of all furnishings, medical appliances, equipment, facilities and fixtures, including scientific equipment, upon discovery.
- Prepares and maintains medical and other records as described in the Policies with respect to the Professional Services rendered any Patient pursuant to this Agreement.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Compensation: $320, Annually
- Professional Licensure. hospital shall pay Physician’s license fees, fees associated with obtaining Physician’s DEA permit, fees associated with Physician sitting for board examinations in Physician’s specialty, association dues and journal subscriptions as may from time to time be approved by hospital.
- Professional Meetings: $5000
- Malpractice Insurance covered.
- Per policy every practitioner accumulates PTO equivalent to 24 days a year per policy. An additional 10 days (equivalent to two work weeks) are allocated for professional seminars.
