description of workUnder the general supervision of the Director of Administration, the Compliance Manager is responsible for providing leadership, independent compliance oversight, guidance, training, auditing and overall direction necessary to maintain ongoing compliance with the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) Operations & Planning (O&P) and Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) standards and requirements. This position is also responsible for ensuring compliance with the Energy Information Administration (EIA) reporting requirements.
qualificationsAny combination of training and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree with major course work in Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Administration or Process Management, Auditing, Risk Management, or other related field, plus a minimum of two (2) years of experience working in an, electric utility, or similarly regulated industry.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB- Ensure compliance and adherence with North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) Operations & Planning (O&P) and Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) reliability standards and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with the department Subject Matter Experts and Consultants to develop, implement, coordinate, and monitor the compliance program, including policies, processes, procedures, and guidance.
- Collect, review, organize, and preserve evidence of compliance for audits and regulatory requests.
- Support internal departments with compliance adherence, training, and dissemination of best practices.
- Lead investigations for potential non-compliance and work with the SME’s to develop reports and mitigation plans.
- Conduct internal compliance assessments and spot-checks.
- Manage responses for regulatory requests, self-certifications, and audits.
- Attend relevant NERC working groups and committees to track updates to NERC standards and assess their impact.
- Identify areas for program enhancement.
- Compile data and complete various monthly and annual electric and natural gas EIA reports.

HOURSThis position is a full-time FLSA exempt. Monday thru Friday; day hours. May be called upon at other times as required.
