As a Radiologic Technologist, you will perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures—including x‑ray, CT, bone densitometry, and mammography (if applicable)—to support the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. You’ll work directly with patients of all ages, ensuring their safety, comfort, and care during imaging procedures. The position requires the ability to work independently, using your clinical expertise and initiative to ensure high‑quality results.

• Performing high‑quality radiologic exams in accordance with department protocols under the supervision of a qualified physician
• Providing direct patient care, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients of all ages
• Performing a variety of technical procedures, including x‑ray, CT, bone densitometry, and mammography (if applicable)
• Using independent judgment and problem‑solving skills to provide precise imaging for accurate diagnoses
• Adhering to safety standards and ensuring the safety of patients, coworkers, and self during all procedures

• To produce diagnostic images in an acceptable and high‑quality manner to be interpreted by the radiologist
• Perform and maintain all QA testing required
• Assist providers as required in the performance of fluoroscopic examinations
• Consult with providers and radiologists
• Adhere to the ALARA principles
• Follow all safety requirements and regulations that pertain to services performed by the department
• Train other team members to perform radiologic imaging, meeting quality and safety standards
• Responsible for the procurement, storage, and utilization of modality and departmental supplies
• Responsible for maintaining proper imaging and reporting in PACS
• Keep up to date with new procedures, equipment, and methods
• Attend trainings and hospital/clinic meetings
• Protect patient/client information handled day to day in this office; confidentiality breaches may result in immediate termination
• Ensure the confidentiality of patients’ medical, personal, and financial records is maintained
• Be knowledgeable of and committed to practicing Corporate Compliance policies and procedures
• Comply with Cherry County Hospital personnel policies
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Ability to set up and operate equipment safely and properly

• Transport patients in wheelchairs and on gurneys
• Complete patient transfers in and out of wheelchairs and on and off gurneys
• Push portable x‑ray and EKG machines
• Use arms, legs, back, and eyes, which could cause strain
• Potential exposure to hazardous materials, such as contaminated body fluids, radiological solutions, and radiation
• Comply with universal precautions, hospital policies and procedures

Reports to: Radiology Supervisor

• Must have graduated from an accredited radiology program
• Current registry in good standing with ARRT
• BLS certification required
• Must be licensed in the state of Nebraska
