Purchasing Agent

Worldwide Distributor and Manufacturer of Irrigation equipment, with 70 years of experience in the irrigation industry.

T-L Irrigation Co. is looking for a qualified individual to join its purchasing department. This candidate would identify, qualify and develop relationships with vendors or suppliers.

• Purchase raw materials including structural and coil steel, tires, rims, and gears.
• Place purchase orders, tracking orders, expediting orders and scheduling deliveries
• Verifying the key suppliers for each procurement – supplier evaluation
• Monitoring and forecasting inventory, determining purchasing needs and identify costs
• Establishing quality control and ensuring that bought items meets company standards
• Preparing cost estimates as needed
• Compiling and maintaining purchase records, supplier databases and procurement contracts
• Negotiating prices with suppliers to keep material prices as low as possible.
