POSITION DESCRIPTION

MISSION:

It is your personal and professional responsibility to make Hastings College Housing the premier provider of Private Collegiate Student Housing in Nebraska. Through quality, professionalism, kindness, and consistency, we strive to offer our residents and guests the highest level of comfort, security, privacy and world-class service.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Property Manager is responsible for overseeing the leasing and Res Life processes within Hasting College Housing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned):

  • Direct oversight of leasing & residence life, marketing, facilities, customer engagement, and overall team supervision and development.
  • Serves as the company liaison to Hastings College and Scott Residential Management leadership teams.
  • Provides support and guidance to managers, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise.
  • Works HR with employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations for all departments as needed.
  • Ensures the property’s curb appeal reflects the value of service we provide with clean and well-maintained grounds and facilities.

QUALIFICATIONS,

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ten years of management experience is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Property Management, Business Administration, or related field required.

ADDITIONAL EXPECTATIONS

  • A minimum of 5 years of leasing or property experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Serve as a representative of Scott Residential Management in all interactions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work is conducted in-person in a typical office environment between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tasks involve continuous sitting and constant use of hand/finger dexterity, hearing, and typing. Time may also be spent out on property overseeing and managing daily operations.
