What the job is:

CPI is looking for someone who likes to work both indoors or outside and enjoys working independently or on a team to keep our equipment in good repair and our operations functioning properly. CPI is a safety minded company thus such policies must be followed. The Agricultural Equipment Technician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing rolling stock such as seed and liquid tender equipment and for the overall agronomy facilities maintenance.

This person will follow all safety guidelines and programs established by CPI and complete safety reports and required records. In addition, this person will implement, promote and support the agronomy programs and assist with other duties when assigned.

  • Responsible for maintaining and repairing rolling stock including liquid and dry application equipment, and semi-trucks and trailers that are needing minor repairs.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or related experience and/or training.
  • A valid Driver’s License is required.
  • Prolong periods of standing and walking.
  • Must have the physical strength, balance and stamina necessary to complete jobs in various areas.
  • Must have the ability to work in all types of weather conditions and lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds at times.
  • Ability to work around moving parts, fumes, airborne particles and chemicals.
  • Ability to work in high precarious places.
