RN: Med​/Surg

Job Description:

This 13-week travel contract in Hastings, Nebraska, offers an opportunity to work in a Med Surg unit with a mix of varied patient cases. You’ll handle patients with diagnoses such as dementia, post-surgical recovery, influenza, pneumonia, and COVID, among others. The role involves managing patient care on 12-hour night shifts from 7 pm to 7 am, with a weekly commitment of 36 hours.

The unit has a team of nurse aides, RTs, and monitor techs, providing a collaborative environment where your expertise in wound care, pain management, or TPN can shine. Charge nurse duties may be required if you have the experience, but the primary focus remains on supporting patient needs efficiently during your shift. This assignment emphasizes hands‑on patient support within a private bed setting, offering a chance to demonstrate your nursing skills in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented setting.
