Bank Advanced Nurse Practitioner – Primary Care The Role

At IC24, we're looking for Bank Advanced Nurse Practitioners who want the flexibility to choose when they work while continuing to make a meaningful impact on patient care.
Based within our Hastings Primary Care Hub, you'll lead on delivering high-quality care to unregistered patients, working as part of a multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, treat and navigate patients to the most appropriate care pathway.
The role also involves working closely with local partners, including the Seaview Project, supporting individuals experiencing homelessness, those living in temporary accommodation and patients with complex health and social care needs. This includes people affected by mental ill health, substance misuse, learning disabilities and other barriers to accessing healthcare.

Whatyou'll focus on Delivering advanced clinical care
You'll provide assessment, diagnosis and treatment at the point of first contact, managing patients with minor illness and undifferentiated presentations while delivering safe, evidence-based care.
Prescribing and clinical decision makingAs an Independent Prescriber, you'll prescribe medications following clinical examination and assessment, ensuring treatment plans are appropriate, effective and aligned to current best practice.
Y'll work with unregistered patients and those facing significant health inequalities, helping improve access to healthcare and supporting patients with complex physical, psychological and social needs.
Navigating patients to the right careY'll determine the most appropriate care pathway for each patient, whether that's treatment and discharge, onward referral or navigation into alternative healthcare services.
Driving quality and clinical governanceY'll work within IC24's clinical governance framework, contributing to audits, quality improvement initiatives, service development and the continuous enhancement of patient care.
Y'll build strong working relationships across the organisation and with external partners, contributing to shared learning, locality meetings and collaborative approaches to patient care.
Developing services and supporting innovationY'll contribute to the ongoing development of the Hastings Primary Care Hub, helping shape services, share best practice and improve outcomes for patients and local communities.

Whatmatters in this role
We're not looking for one type of clinician – but there are some things that matter.
You're likely someone who:- Is a First Level Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
- Holds an Independent Prescriber qualification
- Has completed a Physical Assessment of Adults module and a recognised Minor Illness qualification
- Has at least two years' experience working within General Practice or Urgent Care
- Demonstrates excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Is confident working autonomously and managing clinical risk
