Position: Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse - $2,016 per week

ER RN – Travel Nursing Assignment in Hastings, NE

Join a state‑certified Level III trauma center as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) on a 13‑week travel nursing assignment in Hastings, Nebraska. This contract is ideal for an experienced ER nurse who thrives in a busy Emergency Department and wants to deliver trauma and acute care in a supportive community.

  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks (June 15, 2026 – September 14, 2026)
  • Setting:
    Acute Care – Emergency Department / ER (Level III trauma center)
  • Shifts:

    12‑hour nights (possible times: 6 pm–6 am, 10 am–10 pm, 12 pm–12 am, 1 pm–1 am)
  • Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
  • Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800 – $1,890

Required Qualifications
  • Active RN license (compact or state RN license as required)
  • Minimum 1 year recent Emergency Room experience (3+ years trauma/ED nursing preferred)
  • Certifications:

    BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC, and PALS or ENPC
  • Strong clinical assessment, triage, and communication skills
  • Prior travel nursing experience preferred but not required
  • Willingness to work every other weekend and one summer and one winter holiday
  • Must live at least 50 miles from facility to qualify for travel assignment
Responsibilities
  • Provide high‑quality, compassionate emergency care to approximately 40 patients per day in a high‑volume ED
  • Assess, triage, and manage patients with trauma, cardiac, pediatric, and medical emergencies
  • Administer medications and manage common drips (antibiotics, cardiac drips, heparin, tPA, insulin)
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary team members for coordinated patient care
  • Participate in department orientation, ongoing training, and performance improvement initiatives
  • Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC electronic charting (EPIC experience preferred)
  • Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and professional dress code (gray scrubs provided)
