AboutThe Role
As a Territory Manager at Halter, you will drive new business growth and ensure customer success within your designated territory. You will execute sales strategies, build strong customer relationships, and meet ambitious growth targets while representing Halter on the ground. Your role requires a proactive, hands‑on approach focused on expansion and long‑term customer satisfaction, and will involve close collaboration with Product, Support and Customer Onboarding teams.
WhatYour Day Could Look Like
- Prospecting new business: attend local cattle auctions, meet with livestock associations, and build a pipeline through outbound lead generation while prioritizing inbound leads in a timely manner.
- In‑field sales: engage potential customers on ranches, discuss the value of Halter, and provide on‑site product demonstrations.
- Expanding existing opportunities: identify and pursue upsell possibilities with current customers.
- Hitting sales targets: manage a pipeline, qualify leads, and close deals to achieve quarterly goals.
- Customer account management: maintain relationships after sale, ensuring ongoing satisfaction, support, and smooth handoff to onboarding teams.
- Territory ownership: cover the entire territory, engage high‑level stakeholders and maintain a presence in local, state and federal agricultural groups.
- Customer onboarding: oversee the end‑to‑end onboarding and deployment experience for new customers.
- Field learnings & feedback: gather customer insights to advocate for product improvements.
- Collaboration with support teams: resolve customer issues in partnership with other Halter teams.
- Attending industry events: represent Halter at relevant events to generate leads and deepen relationships.
- Contributing to US sales strategy: provide input to optimise the sales process for the US market.
- Driven attitude & communication skills: results‑driven, motivated, adaptable, and proactive.
- Ranching/cattle experience: understanding of the industry’s challenges.
- Sales & customer success expertise: history of creating new business, negotiating value‑based conversations, and building long‑term relationships.
- Territory management experience: managing a large territory with balanced focus on sales and customer success.
- Problem‑solving & collaboration ability: resourceful and quick‑thinking in cross‑functional teams.
- Willingness to travel: frequent travel within the territory.
- Familiarity with precision agriculture or virtual fencing technologies.
- Background in customer‑facing roles within ag‑tech.
- Experience selling SaaS solutions in a B2B environment.
- Annual personal development budget of USD 750.

Compensation Range: $140K – $190K
