Journeyman Electrician — Lincoln (Multiple Openings)
Local, family-owned electrical contractor. We treat our team like family and prioritize work/life balance; most weekends are free.
Seeking experienced Nebraska-licensed Journeyman Electricians to perform commercial electrical construction work on assigned projects from start to finish. Candidates should be able to troubleshoot systems, lead teams, ensure code compliance, and promote a safety-first culture.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform electrical construction work on commercial projects from start to finish
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical circuits, systems, and equipment issues
- Resolve escalated field issues professionally while maintaining customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with Field Support teams to keep projects on schedule
- Apply and enforce national and local electrical codes and stay current on industry changes
- Promote and model a safety-first culture on every job site
- Mentor, evaluate, and develop team members; provide hands-on guidance
Required qualifications:
- Nebraska State Journeyman Electrician License required (reciprocal licenses from neighboring states accepted if legally eligible to work as a journeyman in Nebraska)
- 1–5+ years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician in electrical construction
- Commercial electrical experience strongly preferred
- Foreman/job-running experience is a plus (may affect pay and bonus potential)
- Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes, and OSHA safety standards
- Skilled with trade-related materials, equipment, installation methods, blueprint/drawing interpretation, and trade calculations
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints confidently
- Strong communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening
Compensation and benefits:
Competitive pay based on experience; higher pay and bonus potential for foreman/job-running experience. Most weekends free; family-oriented workplace.
