** Job Summary*
* The Construction Laborer provides general site support to help maintain a safe, clean, and organized construction environment. This role is responsible for performing a variety of labor and maintenance tasks, including site housekeeping, grounds maintenance, traffic control support, snow removal, and office setup activities. The Construction Laborer works closely with site management and safety personnel to ensure daily operations run efficiently and project sites remain compliant with safety and cleanliness standards.
** Key Responsibilities*
* + Maintain cleanliness of office trailers, work areas, and common spaces through routine housekeeping activities.
+ Collect, transport, and dispose of trash from job site receptacles and work areas into designated dumpsters.
+ Perform general painting tasks, including painting site signage, safety markings, and designated work areas.
+ Set up, relocate, and remove traffic cones, barricades, and other temporary site control devices as directed.
+ Assist with snow and ice removal activities, including shoveling, salting, and clearing pedestrian walkways and work areas.
+ Perform grounds maintenance duties such as weed removal, mowing, and general site upkeep.
+ Refill and maintain water stations during warmer months to support site safety and employee well-being.
+ Serve as a spotter for trucks, forklifts, and other heavy equipment to help ensure safe movement around the project site.
+ Assist with office trailer mobilization, setup, and relocation activities, including furniture assembly and workspace preparation.
+ Support site management with other general labor duties as assigned to meet project needs.
** Qualifications*
* + High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
+ Previous construction, general labor, landscaping, facilities maintenance, or related experience preferred.
+ Ability to follow safety procedures and work effectively in an active construction environment.
+ Ability to use basic hand tools and perform routine maintenance and labor tasks.
+ Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Reliable attendance and punctuality.
+ Effective communication skills and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
+ Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
+ Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, lift, carry, and perform physical labor throughout the workday.
+ Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
+ Position requires on-site work; relocation assistance and per diem are not offered.
