Operations Crew Member
In the Lamar office in Lincoln, Nebraska, you will be part of an installation crew responsible for erecting, installing, maintaining, and repairing billboard advertising structures for brands in Lincoln and surrounding areas. This role involves working outdoors, handling heavy equipment, and ensuring all structures remain safe and functional.
Responsibilities- Build, install, and erect new billboards and related structures.
- Install advertising media such as flexes, vinyls, and Tri-Visions.
- Maintain billboard structures: tighten bolts, paint, replace light bulbs, perform routine repairs, and handle storm damage.
- Operate power and manual tools while adhering to safety regulations.
- Attend safety meetings, maintain tools and equipment, and document installations with photographs and written logs.
- Clean and prepare work areas, and manage demolition or towing of old signs.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Basic computer skills (Internet browsing, Microsoft Word & Excel).
- Clear English communication skills.
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions and at heights up to 200 ft.
- Physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs, bend, reach, stoop, stand, walk, drive, and climb.
- Ability to follow Lamar safety standards, OSHA 10‑hour Construction course, and DOT/OSHA regulations.
- Working knowledge of electrical and fabrication techniques and the ability to read technical documents such as blueprints and diagrams.
- Experience with construction equipment and handling tools safely.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- CDL or crane, signal, rigging, or LDD certifications preferred.
- Previous experience working at heights up to 200 ft. preferred.
- Monday–Thursday, 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. schedule.
- Hourly wage $20–$23/hour, depending on experience.
