Temporary Speech-Language Pathologist (Multiple Opportunities)

We are seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. We welcome candidates seeking a Full-Time or Part-Time position and are open to considering an applicant's availability to meet the needs of the board. Positions will be posted until filled.

Job Overview
  • Reporting directly to the Board Lead Psychologist, the Speech-Language Pathologist performs related duties by consulting with school staff, parents, and outside agencies about students with communication difficulties.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, recommend, support and provide some direct programming to meet the needs of students with communication delay or disorder. Monitor student progress to determine ongoing appropriateness of speech/language interventions.
  • Provide assessment, discuss results and findings and provide recommendations in a written report to support programming and intervention.
  • Make recommendations to principals regarding school level approaches and practices for speech and language needs.
Qualifications
  • Minimum post-secondary education completion of a Master in Speech Language, or equivalent and registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO) in good standing.
  • Minimum of six (6) years of professional experience.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills with a strong client and quality service focus.
  • Experience working in a multi-disciplinary setting and demonstrated experience with intervention strategies appropriate for youth with a variety of communicative disorders.
  • Evidence of strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
  • Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Background check.
