The successful candidate can expect to work 35 hours per week (excluding breaks), five shifts out of seven including weekends.

The rate of pay for this position is £9.55 to £12.75 per hour depending on your age.

To be responsible for the preparation and presentation of meals for the greatest enjoyment of the guests and maximum profit contribution to the hotel.

• To assist other chefs in the kitchen area.

• To provide the highest standards of preparation and presentation for guests and to ensure expectations are met.

• To ensure that the kitchen areas are maintained in a clean and tidy manner in accordance with departmental standards.

• To ensure all equipment and materials are used in the correct manner and any problems reported immediately.

• To work effectively with colleagues to ensure a harmonious working environment where all employees are treated with respect and dignity.

• To maintain the security of stock areas at all times, immediately reporting any breaches.

• To comply with all health, safety, hygiene and licensing policies and procedures.

• To ensure that guest dissatisfactions are dealt with efficiently, reporting them to the Supervisor/Manager on duty.

• Any other duties as required by Management.

• Right to work in the United Kingdom
• Previous experience in a professional kitchen
• Ability to deliver an exceptional standard of customer service
• Ability to work well under pressure and be a team player

• NVQ Level 2 or the equivalent in Professional Cookery or working towards
• A food hygiene certificate / a minimum level 2 food safety qualification
• Experience in a high-quality establishment, preferably a hotel
