Leakage Technician

FJA are working with a large water utilities company who are recruiting experienced Leakage Technicians who will be responsible for day‑to‑day leak detection activities.

• Undertake survey work or project work not normally associated with day‑to‑day leak detection.
• Assist repair gangs by providing leak detection.
• Undertake a detailed survey to identify the type and location of water leakage on large diameter pipes.
• Carry out accurate completion of all paperwork (including timesheets, survey forms and leak details) and other duties as required.
• Perform a Step Test to identify high leakage within a water distribution network, usually at night when consumption is lowest and most stable.

• Proficiency in the use of leakage detection equipment, including a Correlator, Pipe Tracer, Ground Microphone and Listening Stick.
• Experience with Step Testing, Trunk Mains, Validation and Seepage is desirable.
• Current certifications: EUSR Water Hygiene Training and Unit 2 Street Works.
• Possess a full and valid driving licence.
