Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, liberal arts or human services related field from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of experience working directly with persons with disabilities.
- Or a Master's degree in psychology, liberal arts or human services related field from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of experience working directly with persons with disabilities.
The Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional/Program Specialist is responsible for serving as the primary advocate for individuals and ensuring that monitoring functions are completed appropriately.
- Act as the Program Specialist (PS). May have a defined caseload.
- Travel to and manage a defined number of homes in the community (SFR & CLP) and any day program for the individual.
- Serve as liaison between the facility, individual's family, and outside agencies.
- Work under supervision of the Social Services Supervisor.
