Come join a fantastic, dedicated team at Smith Academy, the public Middle/High School in Hatfield, MA. We are seeking a high school science teacher to join our team. Our small school serves about 170 students 7‑12th grade. We offer small class sizes and hands‑on instruction.

Subjects:
Physical Science, Chemistry, Physics, possibly health. A.P. Teaching Experience Preferred. Science Certification Required. Multiple Certifications across disciplines Preferred. Experience Preferred. Experience with inquiry‑based learning preferred. Experience with outdoor and/or nature‑based learning preferred.

• Will be responsible for safely maintaining, storing, ordering, and keeping an inventory of chemicals used for instructional purposes and labs in the science department at S.A.
• Teach high school chemistry and related science courses, incorporating inquiry-based and outdoor learning where possible.
• Prepare lesson plans, assessments, and materials aligned with curriculum standards.

• At least 5 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
• Science Certification required; multiple certifications preferred.
• Experience teaching at the high school level and A.P. experience preferred.
