Staff Accountant

Claiborne Senior Living is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant to join our Corporate Finance team. This role plays a critical part in supporting financial accuracy, operational reporting, and strategic decision‑making across our growing senior living portfolio.

This job is in‑office, in our headquarters at Hattiesburg, MS.

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
• Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries
• Reconcile bank, credit card, and other financial accounts monthly
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Participate in internal controls and audit preparation
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes
• Provide financial reporting and analysis to leadership as requested
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company financial policies

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Senior living, healthcare, or hospitality experience a plus
