Accounts Payable Specialist

Parish Tractor is seeking a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills to join our growing accounting team as an Accounts Payable Specialist
. In this position, you will work alongside the Accounting Manager and other team members, supporting nine stores across four states from our Central Office in Hattiesburg, MS.

• Processes, verifies, and reconciles vendor invoices; charges expenses to correct accounts and cost centers
• Prepares and schedules vendor payments, monitoring discount opportunities and resolving discrepancies
• Verifies federal  and reconciles monthly vendor statements
• Ensures credit is received for outstanding memos
• Maintains confidentiality of organizational information
• Other duties as assigned

• Knowledge of basic accounting principles
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) or Google Sheets;
  File Bound or similar AP software experience preferred
• Accurate and efficient with financial computations
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Strong communication skills and professional office etiquette
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Eager to learn and improve processes

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 2 years of accounting and/or accounts payable experience required

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
