Overview

Aksia is an alternative assets specialist, providing investment solutions for institutional investors globally. Our business provides clients with advisory, investment management, and research services across private credit, private equity, real assets, and hedge funds. As of May 31, 2025, Aksia advises on over $350bn and manages $32bn of client capital.

We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial professional to join our Pan-Alternatives team. This individual will be responsible for developing and managing key institutional relationships within a defined region, with a focus on delivering holistic, multi-asset class solutions across alternatives.

The Pan-Alternatives team serves as the strategic client-facing group within Aksia, aligning firmwide resources to provide tailored solutions to sophisticated allocators. This is a high-impact, outward-facing role with direct responsibility for relationship development, sales execution, and client servicing.

This position can be based in one of our office locations or fully remote and will include interactions with global colleagues and clients.

Responsibilities
  • Lead business development and relationship management with institutional investors, family offices, and private wealth platforms within the Benelux region.
  • Develop and execute a regional growth strategy targeting new LP relationships and deepening existing ones.
  • Serve as the primary interface with prospective clients, crafting and delivering presentations, proposals, and strategic insights.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across research, investment, operations, and client advisory teams to deliver seamless and insightful client experiences.
  • Stay abreast of evolving market trends, fund strategies, and client needs to position Aksia’s offerings competitively and credibly.
Qualifications
  • 6–12 years of experience in investor relations, business development, or institutional sales with a focus on alternative investments.
  • Deep knowledge of and exposure to one or more alternative strategies: private equity, private credit, hedge funds, real assets, or real estate.
  • Demonstrated success cultivating LP relationships across institutional or private wealth channels.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple complex client engagements and internal work streams.
  • High degree of initiative, integrity, and commercial acumen.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Fluent writing and verbal skills in English and either Dutch, German, and/or French.
