Applications for Part-Time Elementary Education (ELE) Adjunct Faculty will be accepted on an ongoing basis and will be reviewed as needed. Job Summary
Elementary Education Adjunct Faculty assist with the instructional delivery of courses taken by program majors. Elementary Education adjunct faculty teach up to 6 hours [2 – 3 hour courses] per semester. Typical courses focus on reading/literacy, classroom management, and math.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Instruction in traditional and online formats.
- Assessment of student learning outcomes.
- Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
A doctoral degree from an accredited college or university in Elementary Education is required for teaching graduate level courses.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate with all groups of individuals in a timely manner.
- Ability to work with a diverse team in diverse settings.
- Experience with online learning platforms.
- Experience setting clear performance expectations and provision of meaningful feedback.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated success in university teaching is preferred.
