This position is located onsite at the NASA Stennis Space Center, Mississippi.

Job Overview

Nova Space Solutions (NSS) is seeking a Project Controls candidate to join our Engineering Services Department team at NASA John

C. Stennis Space Center, Mississippi. The ideal candidate is responsible for planning, resource management, and scheduling of all work on the COSMIC contract. Participates in cross-functional team meetings to develop scope delivery and coordinates across multiple disciplines to achieve the plans. Designs project/program/core requirements schedules of data in all project life cycles. Schedules and maintains knowledge of all key project milestones.

Administers projects from conceptualization to implementation and evaluate all issues.

Responsibilities Essential

Job Duties
  • Develops, monitors, and updates integrated project plans and schedules so that projects can be executed in the most efficient manner possible.
  • Prepares baseline schedules and schedule basis documents for approval by project teams and for integration into a master schedule.
  • Assesses impacts to the critical path and near-critical activities, reporting findings to the project team.
  • Monitors schedule deviations and variances and assists in the development of alternate methods for corrective action.
  • Analyzes change orders/revisions to Task Orders for schedule impacts.
  • Resource loads schedules and works with Project Managers to status and perform jobsite walks to verify physical progress of scheduled activities as needed.
  • At the completion of a project, develops and records the project’s historical schedule information and “Lessons Learned” for future use.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of Maximo workflow.
  • Performs related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.
Key Responsibilities

Job Requirements Mandatory
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three (3) or more years as a Project Planner/Scheduler professional.
  • Experience working with tactical and strategic planning.
  • Experience working with Project Management software.
  • Experience publishing Project schedules and resource allocation schedules, enabling consistent high, on-time delivery of requirements.
Preferred
  • Knowledge of Federal and NASA regulations and procedures preferred.
