Distribution Technician - SPD

Inventories and dispatches supplies and minor movable equipment.

• Inventories and replenishes supplies.
  • Inventories and restocks unit supply carts in accordance with department policies and procedures.
  • Assists with restocking of SPD shelves on a daily basis.
• Dispatches supplies and minor movable patient care equipment.
  • Delivers "STAT" items immediately upon receipt of request.
  • Fills requisitions for supplies and minor movable to the requesting departments in a timely manner.
  • Fills requisitions accurately.
• Makes postings on requisition sheets.
  • Documents complete and accurate transactions (i.e., requests, credits, etc.) in a timely manner.
  • Notifies the Inventory Control Specialist immediately of low on hand quantities or outages.
• Removes outdated sterile supplies and returns them to SPD for disposition as appropriate.
  • Checks the expiration dates of sterile supplies on the PAR carts and removes items that are approaching expiration date as per departmental policy.

Education:

• High School or GED

• Experience in stock and distribution procedures
