The Business Systems Analyst conducts business process analysis, needs assessments, and preliminary cost/benefits analysis to align information technology solutions with business initiatives. This position may function as a liaison between the line of business and the Information Technology (IT) department.

• Formulates/defines specifications for operating software programming applications or modifies/maintains complex existing applications using engineering releases and utilities from programs
• Analyzes and evaluates existing or proposed systems and devises computer programs, systems, and related procedures to process data
• Prepares charts and diagrams to assist in problem analysis and submits recommendations for solution
• Prepares program specifications and diagrams and develops coding logic flowcharts
• Encodes, tests, debugs, and installs the operating programs and procedures in coordination with computer operations and user departments
• Reviews progress and evaluates results
• Reports inconsistencies to management and suggests problem resolutions and business process improvements
• Certain business groups may require on-call support rotation after hours and/or weekends

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

• High School Diploma or GED and seven (7) years of related experience
• Or Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of related experience

• Banking or financial services industry experience
• Experience providing application support including troubleshooting
• Experience with business intelligence tools
• Familiarity with agile and/or waterfall methodologies

• Ability to plan, schedule and execute multiple concurrent activities
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Demonstrates complex working knowledge of systems and software development concepts, practices, and procedures
• Ability to research, analyze data, and derive facts
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills
• Knowledge of applicable testing tools
• Problem solving and priority management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Management
• Proficiency in Power BI
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Access

This position is intended to be onsite, now or in the near future. Associates will have regular work hours, including full days in the office three or more days a week. The manager will set the work schedule for this position, including in-office expectations. Location is primarily Hattiesburg, MS. Regions will not provide relocation assistance; relocation would be at your expense.

This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors such as experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and performance may affect pay. The target information is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for the position location and level. Job Range Target:
