Responsibilities and opportunities with Byte Dance Networking, which designs, builds, and operates a global intelligent network infrastructure for high availability, scalability, and high performance in data-center networking. The team focuses on network architecture, software defined networking (SDN), network virtualization, switch software and hardware co-design, and high-speed networking to support hyperscale data-center solutions for apps such as Douyin and Tik Tok. As part of this team, you will gain software development and/or network operations experience at massive scale.

• Support the operations and build-out of a rapidly expanding global edge network.
• Assist with the deployment and expansion of new PoPs and network interconnections.
• Learn about network optimization, data analysis (flow data), and automation tools.

• Minimum Qualifications
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Foundational understanding of networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, routing protocols).
• Eagerness to learn about large-scale network infrastructure and operations.
• Preferred Qualifications
• Some programming or scripting experience (e.g., Python, Go).
• Experience with network-related projects (e.g., designed in a lab environment or projects involving internet performance measurement).

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $144000 - $153600 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on factors including qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location. Base pay is part of the Total Package and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives and restricted stock units.
