Position: Pediatric LPN – CMC – Full Time

Location: Community Medical Center (CMC)
Department: Pediatrics
Schedule: Full-Time
Reports To: Clinic Manager / Provider

Position Summary

Community Medical Center is seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Pediatrics team. This position works closely with pediatric providers and clinical staff to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to infants, children, and adolescents. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children and families and is committed to creating a positive and caring patient experience.

Responsibilities
  • Assist pediatric providers with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures
  • Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical information
  • Prepare patients and exam rooms for visits and procedures
  • Administer medications, injections, and immunizations as ordered and within scope of practice
  • Assist with specimen collection and basic clinical testing as needed
  • Educate parents and caregivers regarding medications, treatments, and follow-up care
  • Communicate patient concerns and changes in condition to the appropriate provider
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
  • Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and equipment
  • Follow clinic policies, infection prevention practices, and patient confidentiality requirements
Qualifications
  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Mississippi or eligibility to obtain
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Previous pediatric, family practice, or clinic experience preferred
  • Strong communication and patient care skills
  • Ability to work effectively with children and their families
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy clinic environment
  • Compassionate, professional, dependable, and team-oriented
