Reports To: Clinic Manager / Provider
Community Medical Center is seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Pediatrics team. This position works closely with pediatric providers and clinical staff to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to infants, children, and adolescents. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children and families and is committed to creating a positive and caring patient experience.
Responsibilities- Assist pediatric providers with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures
- Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical information
- Prepare patients and exam rooms for visits and procedures
- Administer medications, injections, and immunizations as ordered and within scope of practice
- Assist with specimen collection and basic clinical testing as needed
- Educate parents and caregivers regarding medications, treatments, and follow-up care
- Communicate patient concerns and changes in condition to the appropriate provider
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
- Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and equipment
- Follow clinic policies, infection prevention practices, and patient confidentiality requirements
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Mississippi or eligibility to obtain
- Current BLS certification required
- Previous pediatric, family practice, or clinic experience preferred
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work effectively with children and their families
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy clinic environment
