As a Security Officer - Perimeter Patrol in Hattiesburg, MS
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer in a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to reduce security-related concerns. You will greet patients, visitors, and staff with professionalism, communicate clearly, and document observations using site tools and systems.

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following site‑specific security‑related procedures and policies and/or supporting emergency response activities as directed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including de‑escalating conflicts and requesting assistance from clinical staff and/or public responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, corridors, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points, assist with visitor direction and way finding, and help to maintain orderly entry by verifying authorization when required by site policy.
• Document incidents, patrol observations, and policy violations in written reports and notify site leadership of security‑related issues that may require follow‑up.

• The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
