Anna Parson at Robert Half is partnering with a growing consumer goods / CPG organization on an exciting opportunity for a Director of Accounting with strong technical accounting and SEC reporting expertise. Highly visible leadership role for a CPA who thrives in a fast‑paced, product‑driven environment and enjoys owning complex financial reporting and financial analysis in a regulated, growth-oriented company.

As the Director of Accounting you will:

+ Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in full compliance with U.S. GAAP

+ Oversee SEC filings, technical accounting research, and implementation of new accounting standards

+ Drive accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and management reporting

+ Partner closely with operations and executive leadership to deliver actionable insights

+ Manage audit preparation and serve as primary liaison with external auditors

+ Perform in-depth variance analysis and translate results into clear business narratives

+ Enhance reporting processes, controls, and documentation as the company scales

+ Support strategic initiatives, acquisitions, and systems improvements as needed

Requirements

What We're Looking For

+ Active CPA (required)

+ Strong accounting leadership experience within large Corporate CPG, consumer goods, manufacturing, or distribution environments

+ Hands-on background in technical accounting and SEC reporting

+ Deep understanding of complex revenue, inventory, and cost structures

+ Advanced Excel skills and a process-improvement mindset

+ Polished communicator comfortable working with senior leadership
