Position Title: Payroll Associate
ASR International Corporation is looking to add a full-time, on-site Payroll Associate at our Corporate Headquarters located in Hauppauge, NY.
Duties and Responsibilities- Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.
- Prepare and submit invoices to clients; check invoices ensuring bills are paid in a timely manner.
- Assist in collecting employee timesheets and entering them into the payroll accounting system.
- Prepare payroll and send information to an outside payroll processing service.
- Prepare detailed journal entries and month-end reconciliation; assist in handling accounts payable and receivable duties.
- Account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of transactions.
- Reconcile payroll taxes, 401(k), and bank accounts at the end of each month; assist in researching, tracking, and resolving payroll/accounting problems.
- Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
- Work closely with our accounting team to create and analyze financial reports, ensure legal compliance, process accounts payable and receivable, and manage invoices and tax payments.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; high school diploma required.
- 3‑5 years of direct experience using ADP software required; ADP Workforce Now experience desirable.
- Experience processing weekly payroll across multiple states and working with multiple legal entities under different umbrellas.
- Knowledge of accounting software, Quick Books, and other applications desirable; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) required.
- Working understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Background check clearance required.
