Senior Staff Accountant

, New Yorkacute Permanent Senior  Accountant Hauppauge, NYWe just got a call from a large, well-established manufacturing/distribution corporation that is looking to hire a Senior Accountant in Hauppauge, NY.  The company is a top supplier in their industry and looking for a strong Accounting Professional to work closely within their accounting department in the preparation of global month-end close reporting.  

It is an excellent opportunity to join a large, well-established corporation that can offer professional development and future advancement.  This is a permanent position offering a salary of $100,000 to $125,000 plus bonus, benefits, paid time off, etc.

Responsibilities for this role include:
· Financial consolidations and reporting for global entities
· All of the associated general ledger entries at the corporate level
· Assist with the implementation of new accounting pronouncements
· Analysis and explanation of variances
· Working with external accounting firm on audits

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree is required, CPA license or progress towards it highly preferred
· 4+ years of accounting experience, public/private background preferred
· Extensive month-end close experience; reconciliations, journal entries, general ledger, financial statement preparation with strict GAAP compliance
· Strong Excel skills;
Pivot Tables, VLookups, etc.
· ERP experience;
