Superintendent, Construction

We are partnering with a well-established and highly regarded general contractor seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee large commercial projects throughout Long Island. This role serves as the primary on-site leader, responsible for guiding projects from initial mobilization through final closeout.

The Superintendent will direct daily field operations, coordinate multiple subcontractors and trades, manage schedules and budgets, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards. This opportunity offers involvement in prominent commercial developments, including office buildings, retail centers, and industrial facilities, with a company recognized for excellence in execution and delivery.

• Lead daily on-site operations for large-scale commercial construction projects.
• Supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams to maintain workflow and productivity.
• Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
• Track schedules, budgets, and resources; proactively address challenges and delays.
• Conduct site inspections and facilitate client progress meetings.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, logs, and RFIs.
• Foster a professional, collaborative, and results-driven job site culture.

• 7–10+ years of commercial construction experience, including at least 5 years in a superintendent or comparable leadership role
• Demonstrated success managing large commercial builds (office, retail, industrial)
• Thorough understanding of construction practices, codes, and regulatory requirements
  
  Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
