Superintendent, Construction

Location: Long Island and/or NYC (On-site)

Schedule: 8+ hours/day as needed

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to join a rapidly growing 50-year-old company. This Superintendent must plan and supervise a wide range of construction projects from start to finish by organizing and overseeing construction procedures to ensure they are completed on time and on budget. This candidate must carry out supervisory responsibilities and be held accountable to the timely completion of the project and ensuring that the project is constructed in strict accordance with the plans, specifications, company’s policies and local applicable codes and laws.

• Ensure compliance with OSHA health and safety standards
• Schedule inspections and coordinate subcontractors/vendors to keep projects on track
• Maintain daily site logs and lead weekly foreman meetings
• Monitor quality control and adherence to plans, specs, and schedules
• Identify issues proactively and report potential impacts
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, and project teams
• Manage manpower, materials, and equipment needs
• Prepare 3-week look-ahead schedules and assist with monthly requisitions
• Support project leadership and manage access control systems

• Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent
• Strong knowledge of construction procedures, safety standards, and plan reading
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office;
