Location:
Long Island, NY
We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join a well-established commercial specialty contractor with a strong portfolio of complex public and private projects throughout the New York market.
Responsibilities- Lead estimating and preconstruction efforts from initial bid through award.
- Perform detailed takeoffs and prepare estimates for drywall, framing, carpentry, acoustical ceilings, and related interior scopes.
- Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to identify scope, risks, and opportunities.
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
- Develop competitive bids, budgets, value engineering options, and scope packages.
- Work closely with project management and leadership throughout preconstruction and project handoff.
- Maintain relationships with general contractors, vendors, and industry partners.
- Strong estimating experience within commercial construction.
- Experience with drywall, framing, ceilings, carpentry, or related interior trades strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, takeoffs, pricing, and bid preparation.
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
