Responsibilities
- Assist in designing, modifying, and evaluating electronic circuits, parts, and components for high voltage power supplies.
- Support the customization of Spellman High Voltage power supplies based on customer requirements, including updating schematics and circuit topologies for specific applications.
- Participate in design verification against system requirements.
- Plan and carry out unit validation testing on power supplies.
- Prepare and maintain technical documents such as test procedures, prototype documentation, and user manuals.
- Provide support to manufacturing personnel, including test technicians and assemblers, by answering questions and assisting with new and existing products and procedures.
- Contribute to the development and testing of new OEM custom High Voltage DC power sources to meet customer specifications.
- Assist with engineering change notices, deviations, and design review reports based on analysis, customer feedback, and new releases.
- Support the quality team with corrective and preventive action plans, and participate in ISO and EMS audits as an internal auditor.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional team members at other Spellman sites.
- Utilize technical drawings and schematics in AutoCAD, Altium, and P-CAD, making updates as needed.
- Perform circuit simulations and modeling to support design studies and predict performance, with guidance from project leads and subject matter experts.
- Occasionally travel to customer sites to provide technical support for installation and troubleshooting as needed.
- Work closely with peers in the Engineering team to help implement features as outlined in product and application requirements.
- Assist in reviewing and interpreting internal and external customer requirements.
- BS or equivalent in EE, Electronics or related field required.
- 2+ years of experience working with switch-mode power supplies.
- Hands‑on experience in design verification and troubleshooting is highly valued.
- Experience with high voltage power supplies is an advantage.
- Good understanding of converter topologies.
- Strong knowledge of analog circuits.
- Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout.
- Familiarity with digital electronics.
- Ability to quickly learn technical concepts and identify key issues for action.
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Energetic and enthusiastic approach to work.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
- Self‑motivated, with strong problem‑solving skills and a desire to learn.
Our good faith estimate of the salary range for this role is $60,000 to $85,000. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and other factors. We offer a highly competitive benefits package.
