Spellman High Voltage Electronics Corp. is looking for a motivated Jr. Engineer who seeks to specialize in applications and product customization to join our team.

In this essential role, you will support applications development and leverage your technical skills to assist in engineering tasks related to new applications design, bench testing, component selection, test setups, and troubleshooting. You will work closely with engineering staff to ensure successful development and customization of products to meet customer and application requirements.

Role Description

As a Jr. Engineer, you will operate within the Engineering design and development environment, collaborating with team experts to review and analyze product specifications. You will apply your technical background to help understand product requirements, identify technical risks, and contribute to validation and testing processes under the guidance of senior engineering staff. Your responsibilities include evaluating and modifying electronic circuits for improvements or new designs, supporting prototype builds, and assisting with troubleshooting and repairs.

Responsibilities

* Assist in designing, modifying, and evaluating electronic circuits, parts, and components for high voltage power supplies.

* Support the customization of Spellman High Voltage power supplies based on customer requirements, including updating schematics and circuit topologies for specific applications.

* Participate in design verification against system requirements.

* Plan and carry out unit validation testing on power supplies.

* Prepare and maintain technical documents such as test procedures, prototype documentation, and user manuals.

* Provide support to manufacturing personnel, including test technicians and assemblers, by answering questions and assisting with new and existing products and procedures.

* Contribute to the development and testing of new OEM custom High Voltage DC power sources to meet customer specifications.

* Assist with engineering change notices, deviations, and design review reports based on analysis, customer feedback, and new releases.

* Support the quality team with corrective and preventive action plans, and participate in ISO and EMS audits as an internal auditor.

* Work collaboratively with cross-functional team members at other Spellman sites.

* Utilize technical drawings and schematics in AutoCAD, Altium, and P-CAD, making updates as needed.

* Perform circuit simulations and modeling to support design studies and predict performance, with guidance from project leads and subject matter experts.

* Occasionally travel to customer sites to provide technical support for installation and troubleshooting as needed.

* Work closely with peers in the Engineering team to help implement features as outlined in product and application requirements.

* Assist in reviewing and interpreting internal and external customer requirements.
