Our client, a leading provider of life safety, fire protection, and low-voltage building systems, is seeking an AutoCAD Drafter
- Fire Alarm & Low Voltage Systems to join their team. As an AutoCAD Drafter, you will be part of the Design & Engineering team supporting construction and life safety system projects. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive learning mindset that will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: AutoCAD Drafter
- Fire Alarm & Low Voltage Systems
Location: Hauppauge, NY (On-Site)
Pay Range: $27.50 - $28.50/hour

What's the Job?
  • Create and revise construction drawings using AutoCAD under the guidance of senior design personnel.
  • Develop floor plans, riser diagrams, electrical interconnection drawings, and installation details.
  • Prepare project submittals, including product data sheets, battery calculations, and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain project drawing files, revision logs, and project records with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Update as-built drawings and provide drafting support for life safety, security, access control, and low-voltage system projects.
What's Needed?
  • 1-5 years of AutoCAD drafting experience in a construction-related environment.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD 2014 or newer and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction and electrical drawings.
  • Experience in electrical construction, mechanical construction, low-voltage systems, or similar technical environments.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, document control skills, and a genuine interest in building a career within the life safety industry.
