CFO, Financial Manager
Hauppauge, United States | Posted on 02/05/2026
OverviewOur client is hiring a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead financial strategy, discipline, and scalability across a rapidly growing construction and restoration platform. This role is being added as part of a growth and sophistication phase
, not as a backfill.
The CFO will serve as a true business partner to ownership and executive leadership
, responsible for financial strategy, operational finance, risk management, capital planning, and long-term scalability. This is not a pure accounting role
. The successful candidate must be comfortable operating in a complex, multi-entity, multi-location environment with evolving systems, aggressive growth targets, and real-time operational demands.
This role requires someone who can build structure while the business is moving
, not after it slows down.
- Lead all aspects of financial strategy, planning, and execution across construction, restoration, and related operations
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and ownership on profitability, growth, and capital allocation
- Oversee accounting, FP&A, cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Develop and enforce financial controls, policies, and risk management frameworks
- Own working capital management in a business with fluctuating cash cycles and project-based revenue
- Support geographic expansion, including planned entry into the Florida market and continued Canadian operations. M&A experience would be very helpful.
- Evaluate systems, processes, and financial infrastructure to support scale
- Partner with operations leadership to align financial performance with field execution
- Manage relationships with lenders, banks, auditors, insurance providers, and external advisors
- Provide clear, decision-ready financial insights—not just reports
This is a true CFO role
, not a Controller-plus position. This is not suitable for candidates without executive-level financial leadership experience
. This is not a static environment—priorities shift, and the CFO must adapt quickly. Success requires commercial judgment, not just technical accounting expertise.
This role offers a seat at the table in a growing, entrepreneurial organization where financial leadership directly influences strategy and outcomes. The CFO will have meaningful impact, visibility, and upside while helping shape the company’s next phase of growth across the U.S. and Canada.
