Responsibilities
  • Deliver expert service focused on timely resolution of issues while exceeding client expectations for quality and professionalism.
  • Receive incoming technical issues and requests involving software, hardware, and operating systems for all company and customer-supported technologies. This includes desktops, laptops, wireless devices, peripherals, and proprietary software within the organization.
  • Perform general break/fix and preventative maintenance: provide hands-on and/or remote support to desktops, laptops, wireless devices, and peripherals. Basic hardware/software troubleshooting may be required on servers and other network components.
  • Perform build, configuration, and installation services for desktops, laptops, wireless devices, and peripherals.
  • Escalate issues to higher-level teams or vendors as necessary in accordance with predefined SLAs.
  • Open, track, escalate, and resolve each assigned ticket in our in-house ticketing system.
  • Work the evening shift for our Support Team (roughly 3-11pm ET) to ensure excellent client after-hours support.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • 2-4 years of full-time experience in a technical support role.
  • Technical certification in a relevant technology discipline (preferred).
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid NYS driver’s license.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Able to interact effectively with all levels of internal and customer contacts.
  • Available to work 3-11pm ET.
Technical Experience
  • Basic working knowledge of security-related technologies (multifactor authentication, encryption solutions, etc.).
  • Microsoft Windows operating systems up to Windows 10 for desktops and laptops.
  • Microsoft Office versions through Office 365; O365 migrations and management.
  • Wireless devices and networks;
    Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, WINS, DHCP, etc.;
    Exchange Server and cloud mail services.
  • MS Intune; VMware; implementation of firewalls and switches;
    Meraki wireless; networking architecture and equipment (routers, firewalls, switches, cabling, VoIP, etc.).
  • Backup-related technologies (hardware/software and cloud solutions); hard drive imaging; call center tools.
