Maintenance Mechanic

Overview

Manufacturing plant located in Hauppauge, NY seeks a motivated, reliable, and energetic team player with strong mechanical aptitude. The candidate should have a good working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems and be responsible for product changeover, daily machine set up, adjustments, and maintaining and repairing production machinery and related equipment. This role helps maintain proper machine functionality to decrease waste and increase uptime, performs preventative maintenance tasks, and continuously reviews machine safety features.

• Perform product changeover and daily machine set up.
• Make adjustments and maintain production machinery.
• Repair production machinery and related equipment.
• Execute preventative maintenance tasks.
• Review and ensure machine safety features function continuously.

• Ability to use Bridgeport or mill.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Dependability.
• Fluent English and Spanish is a plus.
• Knowledge of computer systems.
• Knowledge in PLC programming.
• Minimum of 3 years related experience.
• Electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical skills required.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Sound troubleshooting skills and ability to solve problems.
• Must be highly organized and a quick learner.
• Must have own transportation.
• Must be a team-player with excellent communication skills.
• Must be able to work a full-time position.
