A day in this role
Your shift begins at 3:00 pm. You review job tickets, confirm substrates and calipers, and set up the sheetfed offset press. Make-ready is your canvas: you dial in color targets, register, and impression, then bring the first sheets to spec. As production scales, you constantly watch density, dot gain, and consistency—tweaking ink/water balance and feeders in real time. You log measurements, keep schedules moving, and escalate any quality concerns early to minimize waste and downtime.
Between runs, you perform preventive maintenance and keep the press area spotless. At 11:30 pm, you hand off an accurate report and a satisfied customer.
