Steel Rule Diecut Technician, Paperboard Converting

Oliver Inc. is expanding and looking for a die-cutting pro who can set up, fine-tune, and run converting equipment with confidence. You’ll be part of a people-centered team that pairs deep industry know-how with cutting-edge technology—and you’ll see your work on shelves nationwide.

What you’ll doOwn end-to-end machine setup for die cutting, including stripping and blanking.

Execute precise make-readies, pull verification samples, and ensure every sheet meets spec.

Monitor runs, adjust tooling and settings on the fly, and safeguard total job quality.

Handle routine preventative maintenance and minor repairs to keep equipment production-ready.

Model safe work practices and partner closely with teammates in a fast-moving environment.

What you’ll bring

Background as a Die Cutting Operator/Pressman in printing, packaging, or folding cartons.

Proficiency with steel rule dies, counter plates, make-ready materials, and stripping/blanking tools.

Working knowledge of SBS, CCNB, and Kraft substrates and how they influence cutting, scoring, and creasing.

Ability to interpret job tickets, dielines, CAD layouts, and quality criteria.

Proven track record of accurate make-readies with limited oversight.

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills; experience on Bobst, Heidelberg, or similar platforms is a plus.

Math/measuring accuracy for tight tolerances.

Ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand for long stretches, and work safely in manufacturing.
