We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Residential Services team as a Nursing Support Administrator. In this role, you'll serve as a clinical leader, ensuring quality care, regulatory compliance, and continuity of services for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities throughout our residential programs.

Position OverviewThe Nursing Support Administrator provides clinical oversight and support across UCP Long Island's residential programs. This role promotes compliance with OPWDD regulations, strengthens quality assurance efforts, and provides nursing coverage when needed.
The ideal candidate is a strong clinical professional with OPWDD experience, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality person-centered care.
Key Responsibilities Clinical Quality & Compliance- Conduct routine and unannounced chart audits across residential sites
- Ensure compliance with OPWDD regulations and agency standards
- Identify and address documentation concerns
- Assist with the development and review of Plans of Nursing Services (PONS)
- Support implementation of nursing policies and best practices
- Monitor electronic health records and eMAR systems for compliance
- Complete assigned AMAP medication pourings
- Ensure medication preparation and administration procedures meet agency standards
- Provide coaching and support to staff regarding medication management
- Provide RN coverage for residences with staffing vacancies
- Help ensure continuity of medical care and documentation
- Support teams during surveys, inspections, and complex medical situations
- Participate in the nursing on-call rotation
- Provide guidance to residential staff and nursing teams
- Document calls and ensure timely follow-up when necessary
- Deliver training and coaching to DSPs, AMAP staff, and residential leadership
- Assist with retraining and corrective action plans following audits or incidents
- Promote clinical excellence and professional development
- Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Valid New York State Driver's License
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation
- 5+ years of nursing experience
- 1-2 years of OPWDD experience
- Knowledge of: OPWDD regulations, AMAP guidelines, medication administration practices, Plans of Nursing Services (PONS) development, clinical documentation standards
